Malika is a gentle, 15.2h, 2003 mare with great potential as a sport horse and broodmare. Sired by Astrakhan, the U.S.’s #1 rated Akhal-Teke stallion, she has elegant, dry Gelishikli type, and a pinch of Hanoverian in her from her dam’s side. We expect Malika to continue growing and filling out for awhile yet. Once she does we will put her in training and see what she’s best suited for. Her full brother and sister have fine jumping careers and her sire was a heavily competed endurance horse. Malika has the nice typical narrow Akhal-Teke type and conformation, good height and bone, fabulous metallic coloring, and full mane and tail—all traits we expect her to pass on. Malika’s pedigree includes the American sires Azal, Melechan (both lines used in the Nez Perce Horse program), as well as Gelishikli (3x), Ak Sakal, and Skak.
